Acando acquires Inventas
Will create a wide and unique innovation and design environment in the Norwegian market.
The technology and design consulting company Acando Norway aquires 100% of the shares in Inventas AS. The contract was signed on 14 September and will enter into force on 1 October 2018. Inventas will continue to operate under its own brand name.
Acando has one of Norway's leading environments in advanced analytics and IoT, and the acquisition of Inventas will strengthen the companies' overall position in the market.
– More and more physical objects are connected to the Internet, they communicate with each other and process large amount of data. Inventas’ strength is the design of physical products and built-in electronics, says Einar Kolderup Selvig, Managing Director and founder of Inventas.
– We wanted to find a partner who was strong in processing data on cloud-based solutions, AI and digital user interfaces, as our customers want systems that are connected and utilize digital solutions at all levels. In Acando we have found a perfect match. Here is a lot of expertise in everything from chip programming to the development of large business systems. Together we now have a very complete offer.
Covering the entire spectrum
Sven Ivar Mørch, Managing Director in Acando Norway tells that Inventas fit very well into Acando’s strategy «Technology Driven – Behavior Centric»:
– Acando is driven by how technology can change society and how we live, but it's the user's ability and desire to use the technology that creates value.
– With the acquisitions we have made, we cover the whole spectrum from programming to heavy analytical expertise and award-winning industrial design. This gives us a unique position for the upcoming industrial digitisation and internet of things, Mørch says.
